Jeremy McQuoid is Teaching Pastor at Deeside Christian Fellowship in Aberdeen, and chair of trustees for Keswick Ministries. Raised in Northern Ireland, he is the son of missionary parents to Ethiopia. He earned his Master of Divinity degree in Trinity Divinity School in Illinois, and his doctorate at Gordon-Conwell Seminary near Boston. Jeremy loves expository preaching, and training others to do it. His books include The Amazing Cross (alongside his wife Elizabeth, Commissioning Editor for Keswick Ministries), devotional guides to Mark’s Gospel and Hebrews, and Learning to Preach, co-written with his brother Stephen, and he contributes bi-monthly to Evangelicals Now newspaper. Jeremy and Elizabeth have 3 boys – Mark (19), Daniel (16) and Nathan (11). He enjoys Irish rugby, English cricket, and Chelsea FC, which some claim is the ‘unpardonable sin’!
Epistles are more difficult to interpret than we first imagine. We are second hand observers of someone else’s correspondence.
